From March 6 to 7, 2024, the Alioune Blondin BEYE Peacekeeping School in Bamako served as the setting for a seminar on collaboration mechanisms between the inspection services of the Ministry

Placed under the chairmanship of the Acting Chief of Staff, Inspector General Yacouba DIALLO, representing the Minister of Security and Civil Protection, the opening ceremony recorded the presence of the Chief Inspector of Security Services and of Civil Protection, the General Commissioner of the Police Brigade Moussa Boubacar MARIKO, the Deputy Head of Mission EUCAP Sahel Mali, Mrs. Maja SVERDRUP and the Head of Mission DCAF Bamako, Mr. Oswald PADONOU.
Jointly organized by the Inspectorate of Security and Protection Services, EUCAP Sahel Mali and DCAF, the said seminar is a continuation of the great efforts made by the highest authorities of the Transition in terms of strengthening the professional capacities of Inspectors of Internal Security Forces of Mali.
Thus, for two days, it brought together around thirty inspectors from the ISSPC and inspectors from the sectoral inspections of the Police, Civil Protection, the gendarmerie and the National Guard, under the facilitation of the retired Inspector General Mahamadou NIAKATE and Division General Dahirou DEMBELE.
in their missions of operational control and compliance verification of security and civil protection services.
During the two days of work, participants discussed:
- Understanding the mandates, working methods and results of the ISSPC and sectoral inspections;
- Compliance control, management control, operational control and performance control in the security and civil protection sector;
- Identification of similarities and differences in mandates, working methods and results;
- The distribution of tasks and the decentralization of the operation of Inspections;
- The appropriate legal and operational framework for inter-inspection and inter-inspection collaboration.
At the end of the work, concrete proposals for solutions were retained to form part of the final report on the harmonization of practices in the conduct of missions while providing a legal and operational framework for collaboration between the ISSPC and the sectoral Inspectorates and between the sectoral inspections themselves.
