the opening ceremony of a preparatory workshop for pilot missions

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 10 a.m., the opening ceremony of a preparatory workshop for pilot missions on the control of the management of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) by the units of the security and civil protection services took place in the conference room of the Inspectorate of Security and Civil Protection Services, under the chairmanship of the Chief Inspector, the Commissioner General of the Police Brigade Moussa Boubacar MARIKO.
Co-organized with the Geneva Centre for Security Governance (DCAF), the said workshop brings together the 12 Inspectors of the ISSPC and the 9 Inspectors of the Sectoral Inspections of the National Police, Civil Protection and the National Guard, who followed, from 03 to 05 July 2024 in Kangaba, the training seminar on GBV.
During this workshop, the aim will be to prepare these Inspectors on how to conduct control missions on the management of GBV in the units of the security and civil protection services. At the end of this workshop, they will be sufficiently equipped to carry out control missions, in connection with GBV, at the level of the security and civil protection services units of the regions of Koulikoro, Sikasso, Ségou, Mopti and the District of Bamako. The work will be led by the Inspector General of Police ER Mahamadou Naiakaté, expert and Mr. Boubacar THERA of DCAF.
