WORKSHOP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A GUIDE ON THE EVALUATION OF THE INTERNAL CONTROL SYSTEM AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE, BAMAKO, SEPTEMBER 15, 2025
The ceremony concluded with a family photo.
Overall, it aims to provide inspectors with a practical tool to serve as a guide to consolidate the knowledge acquired during training on internal control and gender-based violence, followed by pilot missions in certain security and civil protection services. At the end of five days of work, the inspectors will develop a valuable tool, in other words, a reference document called a guide on the internal control system and gender-based violence. Under the supervision of the experts who led the two themes, the guide will constitute the main structure of the guide, which can serve as a framework for inspection and monitoring missions and, if necessary, serve as a springboard for any new inspector upon taking up their duties.
Organized by the ISSPC in partnership with EUCAP-Sahel Mali and DCAF, the workshop brings together 25 inspectors, including 14 from the ISSPC, three from the National Police Inspectorate, two from the Civil Protection Inspectorate, three from the National Gendarmerie, and three from the National Guard.
On Monday, September 15, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m., the conference room of the Inspectorate of Security Services and Civil Protection (ISSPC) hosted the launch ceremony of a five-day workshop on the development of a guide on the evaluation of the internal control system and gender-based violence for Inspectors of Mali's Internal Security Forces. The workshop was chaired by Chief Inspector, Police Brigade Commissioner General Moussa Boubacar Mariko, and was joined by Valérie Petit Pierre, Head of the Security Sector Governance Mission (DCAF) office in Bamako, and Armando Soares Da Costa, representative of the EUCAP-Sahel Mali Head of Mission
